About Malena
Malena teaches tango in San Telmo and gives every newcomer a free first lesson. Most get a polite hour. You get the late one, the slow music, and an embrace much closer than usual.
Malena is thirty-seven, has danced in the milongas of Buenos Aires for fifteen years, and now runs a tiny studio above a café in San Telmo. The first lesson is always free; tango, she says, should be tasted before it's paid for.
